The Side Shave Gets The Side Eye...

So what would you like, the half Britney or the full BritneCassiey? Remember when Britney Spears shaved her hair and everyone thought she was crazy? Well maybe she was at the time, but I guess now shaving your hair off isn’t so crazy anymore. It seems as though the world of hair and beauty has been hit by an epidemic because everyone is shaving their frigging hair; whether it be the side/s or the whole thing. I had to blog about it today after seeing a girl at the supermarket with her hair shaved like Cassie’s and a pattern etched in; I was just staring at it thinking to myself, ‘this has got to STOP!’

The so-called Fierce, Fearless, I don’t give a F style is getting so overplayed now and it’s really unoriginal. I’m not sure how long this era will last, but I know that Kelis was the one of the first R‘n’B artist to shave her hair- I don’t know why nobody ever gives her props for being the original trendsetter. Well now the number of celebrities minus the average girls on road jumping onto it is getting ridiculous- what do you guys think about it?

Oh yeah, even Raven Symone did it (last year).

Ok, I admit it...I was a victim too:-( To be real honest, I did it because I was going through issues and shaving my hair for a new look was my method of releasing my frustration. Weird, but that’s just me. Glad the shaven part of my hair has grown out though, I need to get out of this bandwagon quick! I’m thinking of switching up my hair a bit, but still keeping it short- any ideas? I’m not too sure what to do but I can’t do anything too crazy since I’m looking for a proper job. I just hope no one else jumps onto the hair shaving bandwagon coz I’m pretty sure there is no more room left! Next time I see anyone rocking the side shave, I’m giving it the side eye…

WORD!
I feel you, its soo played out. And quite frankly, doesn't suit a lot of girls with it! Especially when the hair starts to get to that 'picky' stage- not a good look. You can still go short but instead of edgy think sophisticated; maybe a full fringe and short back and sides?
I used to have short hair but the amount of times you have to visit the hairdressers- cor blimey!
